Candied Pecans

Candied Pecans

Simply simple candied pecans.

  • 2 cup of pecans
  • 1/2 - 3/4 jar of your favorite Southern City Flavors jam or jelly

In a bowl mix together pecans and jam or jelly of your choice until all pecans are fully coated. Amount of jam or jelly will depend on how flavorful you want the pecans to be. If you want the pecans to have just slight hint of flavor stick to about 1/2 a jar of jam or jelly. If you'd like the pecans to pick up more of the jam or jelly flavor, lean towards using about 3/4 a jar.

On a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper, evenly spread out coated pecans. Bake pecans for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees on the middle rack. Being sure to stir the pecans at the 8 minute mark and 15 minute mark.

Remove from oven and cool. Pecans should be a deep brown color, but if after cooling the pecans are not crunchy enough for your liking simply put back into oven and cook until you're pleased with the texture.

*If you'd like the pecans to be a little salty, simple sprinkle salt over top of pecans once you pull from oven.
